Two years ago the Master Gardeners were approached by county officials to help rejuvenate the beds at the veteran’s cemetery. When the Master Gardeners arrived they found beds full of thousands of daylilies. They were over grown and in need of thinning. The Master Gardeners removed most of the day lilies and added roses and an assortment of red, white and blue perennials. The group has concentrated on one area a time and all the beds should be renovated by next year. Many positive comments have been received from Veterans and their families. The Master Gardeners feel this is a small tribute to the man and woman who have given so much.
